2015 here we are! Je viens juste de terminer mon école de design au Michigan, l'endroit où nous vivons depuis presque 7 ans et nous nous apprêtons à déménager en Californie. Je viens juste d'être diplômée, mon diplôme en poche et aucune idée de ce qui m'attend...
Nous arrivons en Californie en Juin 2015 et ce même mois de Juin, mon amie du Texas me contacte pour me dire qu'elle vient d'acheter une maison, il y a beaucoup de travaux et elle aimerait que je travaille avec eux sur ce projet. Je suis bien évidemment touchée par l'opportunité qui se présente et complètement stressée car je viens juste d'être diplômée et je n'ai pas d'expérience sur le terrain. Mon amie est déjà en contact avec une équipe de construction sur place pour les travaux, je décide donc de venir voir leur maison avant de prendre ma décision.
Here I come Texas! Un mois plus tard, me voilà au Texas, chez mes amis. Je découvre leur nouvelle maison et le potentiel est énorme! Une magnifique maison sur le lac d' Austin. J'ai déjà pleins d'idées en tête et j'imagine déjà leur nouvelle maison... Je rencontre l'équipe de construction qui m'accueille avec beaucoup de chaleur, je me sens bien, ma décision est prise...je fonce.
Ce projet a duré plusieurs mois et je me suis donc rendu au Texas à peu près une semaine par mois pendant la durée du projet.
J'ai tellement appris...tout était passionnant et la transformation magnifique.
Je suis toujours à ce jour grateful pour cette magnifique opportunité qui m'a ouvert le chemin pour débuter ma carrière (Je ferai un autre post à ce sujet).

2015 here we are! I just finished my design school in Michigan, where we’ve lived for almost seven years and we’re about to move to California. I just graduated, my degree in my pocket and no idea what to expect...
We arrive in California in June 2015 and that same month of June, my friend from Texas contacts me to tell me that she just bought a house, there is a lot of work and she would like me to work with them on this project. I am obviously touched by the opportunity that presents itself and completely stressed because I have just graduated and I have no experience in the field. My friend is already in contact with a construction team on site for the work, so I decided to visit their house before making my decision. Here I come Texas! A month later, here I am in Texas, with my friends. I discover their new home and the potential is enormous! A beautiful house on Lake Austin. I already have plenty of ideas in mind and I’m already imagining their new home... I meet the construction team that welcomes me with a lot of warmth, I feel good, my decision is made...I go for it.
This project lasted several months, so I went to Texas about a week a month for the duration of the project. I learned so much... everything was exciting and the transformation beautiful. I am still to this day Grateful for this wonderful opportunity that has paved the way for me to start my career (I will do another post about it).
